First, I want to say thank you to the citizens of McDonald County for trusting in me to be your Sheriff these past three years. I am humbly honored to hold the office, and truly believe this is the best county to serve as Sheriff, raise a family, and live in.
I’ve never viewed the office of Sheriff as a stepping stone. I've never had aspirations for a higher political office, like state representative or senator. I am dedicated to the office of Sheriff, and committed to making McDonald County one of the safest places to live. My approach, and philosophy, has always been “Protection, not politics”. I’m not going to promise you favors or jobs in return for your vote. If you’ve heard me get up and give a speech, you know I’m not a polished speaker. When you elected me, you got me; a no frills McDonald County boy that believes actions speak louder than words. I’m your Sheriff, no matter your politics, race, religion, or anything else that may divide us. I will uphold my Constitutional duties and always do the right thing, no matter what the cost is to me personally.
My goal is to continue to make McDonald County a hard target for criminals, so they know if they pick citizens of this county to prey on, they could pay a heavy price for their choice. If I am re-elected, I will remain relentless in my commitment to the safety and well-being of the citizens of McDonald County, and not let up on the practices I have put in place as your Sheriff!

SECOND AMENDMENT
I am a fervent defender of our US Constitution and believe the Second Amendment is crucial in ensuring the government remains accountable to the American People. Our Founders saw the dangers of power-hungry government leaders, and enshrined the right to keep and bear arms to prevent the government from wielding too much power. I realize that as your Sheriff, I am the ultimate defender of the Constitution, and the first line of defense standing between you, and your right to keep and bear arms and those that would take that right from you. Anyone that knows me, knows that you can distract me for half a day just by talking about guns, and I will always defend the right of law abiding citizen to keep arms and use them for any law abiding purpose. This includes hunting, self-defense, target shooting, sporting, or simply because you want to own a gun.
